The Social Support Office of Instituto Superior Miguel Torga was established in response to the ongoing need to ensure that students at the institution receive appropriate support and guidance to help them achieve academic success.

This project involves developing a permanent structure capable of assuming a strategic role in monitoring, intervention and coordination, enabling the early identification of situations of social, economic, psychological or academic vulnerability that may compromise students’ well-being and educational journey.

Through an integrated and multidisciplinary approach, the office facilitates coordination between internal services and external partner organisations, enhancing the provision of more effective, timely and tailored responses to identified needs. At the same time, it plays an active role in defining and implementing internal social policies, promoting institutional practices focused on inclusion, equal opportunities and the cohesion of the academic community.
