Núcleo João dos Santos (NJS)

João dos Santos Unit (NJS) is part of the Department of Psychotherapeutic Intervention (DIP) of the Miguel Torga Higher Institute. It develops research and intervention activities in Clinical Psychology, providing services to the ISMT community and to the general public.

In addition to intervening in psychological, social, and relational problems with children, adolescents, and adults in a clinical setting, NJS promotes research aimed at enriching clinical practice, as well as the training of its members and the academic community within the field of psychodynamic psychotherapies.

NJS is composed of a team of clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, and university lecturers who provide personalized services in the following areas:

• Psychological assessment / forensic evaluation;

• Individual psychodynamic psychotherapy (psychoanalytic orientation);

• Clinical supervision;

• Research and training.
