The Instituto Superior Miguel Torga concluded the "Vamos Falar de..." session cycle with an approach to inclusion and visual impairment
The Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) concluded, on the 2nd of June, the fourth session of the "Vamos Falar de..." cycle, dedicated to the theme of Visual Impairment. This initiative ended a series of activities aimed at the academic community and the general public, designed to promote reflection on different social and human realities.
The colloquium provided a technical and multidisciplinary approach to topics such as inclusive design and the necessary conditions for an autonomous life for people with visual impairment. The panel of speakers featured the participation of Joana Saes, lecturer at ISMT, Jéssica Martins and Joana Silva, from ACAPO Coimbra, and Rute Machado, student at the University of Coimbra and associate of ACAPO.
The thematic session cycle allowed participants to debate current issues and deconstruct preconceived ideas about inclusion. The interest demonstrated throughout the various phases of the project consolidates ISMT's intention to maintain spaces for sharing and debate, fostering the student community's proximity to social intervention realities.
