1st Miguel Torga Conference in Miranda do Corvo

The Instituto Superior Miguel Torga promotes the 1st Miguel Torga Conference, focusing on the reflection of the author's literary legacy, with the participation of lecturers Cristina Robalo Cordeiro and Jorge Castilho.

The Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) is organising the 1st Miguel Torga Conference, scheduled for the 3rd of July at 21:00, at the Loja do Senhor Falcão, in Miranda do Corvo. The initiative aims to analyse the legacy and timeless relevance of the work left by the author who gives his name to the institution.

This conference will feature presentations by lecturers Cristina Robalo Cordeiro and Jorge Castilho, who will explore Miguel Torga's texts and relate them to the contemporary landscape. The public session will provide a space for debate and the exchange of ideas, stimulating reflection on the humanist values, freedom, and identity present in the writer's work.

The event is aimed at ISMT students, as well as the general public, seeking to involve various local agents in the study of the institution's patron. The choice of the Miranda do Corvo municipality to host this initiative aligns with the Institute's desire to extend its cultural dynamics to the entire surrounding region.
