Internship Office – 1st and 2nd Cycle

Mission

Coordinate and liaise with institutions and companies hosting internships to manage the placement process for students of the 1st and 2nd cycles, in order to promote communication beyond the institution in a planned and coordinated manner.

Functional Responsibilities

1 – Promote relationships with the business and institutional sectors in order to create conditions for students to carry out academic internships in a work-based context;

2 – Coordinate interinstitutional communication with Course Coordinators (Scientific, Executive and/or Internship Coordinators), who will be responsible for meeting with students (in order to identify their interests regarding the possible choice of internship host institution) and for communicating this information to the Office;

3 – Inform Course Coordinations of the final host institutions, so that they have the necessary conditions to coordinate the work related to the allocation of students to supervisors (in accordance with the approved teaching workload);

4 – Take the necessary steps to ensure the timely preparation of internship protocols, in coordination with the ISMT Board of Directors;

5 – Respect the internal dynamics of each Course and its specificities with regard to aspects such as, among others, internship regulations, assessment grids, types of internships, and assessment methods, which remain under the responsibility of the Course Coordinators (Scientific, Executive and/or Internship);

6 – Coordinate with the International Relations Office (GRI) the placement of students who choose to undertake an internship in a mobility context;

7 – Collaborate in and support training initiatives that may be held occasionally and that contribute to increasing the visibility of internships across the various 1st and 2nd cycle degree programs.
