The agreement establishes the basis for improving academic mobility and developing joint training offers.

The Miguel Torga Higher Institute (ISMT) and Metro Mondego signed a strategic cooperation protocol on January 30th. The document aims to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions, focusing on improving transportation conditions for the academic community and developing shared educational and professional projects.

According to João Marrana, president of Metro Mondego, the partnership is fundamental given the implementation of a high-frequency public transport service around the institute. The integration of this system will allow the approximately one thousand ISMT students to access sustainable mobility solutions, benefiting from the free transport provided for in the National Transport Support Program up to the age of 23. The initiative aims to reduce the circulation of private vehicles and optimize urban traffic flow in the city.

In the academic and educational sphere, Manuel Castelo Branco, President of ISMT, highlighted that the protocol foresees the creation of short courses and specific training in areas such as Management, Communication, Health, and Civil Protection. The agreement also includes a 20% discount on training courses offered by the institute to Metro Mondego employees and the opening of internship opportunities for students in the fields of Design, Multimedia and Communication, consolidating the connection between education and the regional job market.
