The Miguel Torga Higher Institute and the Order of Economists have signed a protocol aimed at strengthening academic and professional cooperation in economic and business sciences.

The Miguel Torga Higher Institute (ISMT) and the Order of Economists signed a mutual collaboration protocol. The ceremony was attended by Manuel Castelo Branco, President of the Board of Directors of ISMT, and António Mendonça, President of the Order of Economists. Also present were Dulce Simões, Humberto Oliveira (Vice-Presidents), Miguel Fonseca (Member), and Isa Magalhães (Secretary), all members of the institution's Board of Directors.

During the session, Manuel Castelo Branco, as President of the Board of Directors, highlighted the strategic importance of this union for ISMT. António Mendonça, President of the Order of Economists, reinforced the Order's role in approaching the academy. Further contributions were made by Miguel Fonseca, Board member and teaching staff in the field of economics, and Humberto Oliveira, Vice-President and economist, who addressed the technical relevance of the partnership for economic and business sciences.

This agreement establishes cooperation channels for the development of joint initiatives, such as conferences and seminars. Through this exchange, the aim is to ensure that students and teaching staff have direct contact with professional reality and sector standards.
