On 18 November, Manuel Castelo Branco, President of the Miguel Torga Higher Institute (ISMT), continued the strategic objective of bringing the ISMT closer to the 19 municipal councils that make up the Coimbra Region Intermunicipal Community (CIM-RC).

On 18th November, Manuel Castelo Branco, President of the Miguel Torga Higher Institute (ISMT), accompanied by Dulce Simões and Humberto Oliveira, Vice-Presidents of the Institution, Isa Magalhães, Secretary of the Board of Directors and Filipe Casaleiro, Coordinator of the School's Communications Office, continued the strategic objective of bringing the ISMT closer to the 19 Municipalities that make up the Coimbra Region Intermunicipal Community (CIM-RC).

The Municipality of Vila Nova de Poiares hosted this presentation meeting, welcoming the ISMT delegation with great hospitality. The session was attended by the Mayor, João Miguel Sousa Henriques, Councillors Luz Pedroso and Lara Oliveira, as well as representatives from various local organisations, including:
Parish Councils of Arrifana, Lavegadas and Poiares (Santo André);
Associação Recreativa São Miguel, represented by Zé Guilherme;
Poiares Sports Association, represented by Bruno Silva;
Our Lady of Necessities Brotherhood, with the Provider Antonino Martins;
Poiares Business Association, represented by architect Sílvia Pelham;
Poiares Integrated Development Association, with Dr Madalena Carrito;
Vila Nova de Poiares School Group, represented by Dr Eduardo Sequeira;
iCreate Association, represented by Dr Vera Carvalho;
Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Vila Nova de Poiares, with Carlos Henriques;
IKIGAI - Karaté VNP, represented by Marco Simões.

During the meeting, the participants showed great interest in establishing partnerships with ISMT, promoting projects and initiatives of mutual interest. This dialogue was guided by a common desire to strengthen cooperation between the Institute and the municipality, creating synergies that will benefit both the academic community and the social and economic fabric of Vila Nova de Poiares.
