The Miguel Torga Higher Education Institute (ISMT) formally signed a collaboration agreement with Burguezia do Leitão, a leading project promoting Bairrada gastronomy and hospitality, based in Mealhada.

On August 6, 2025, the Miguel Torga Higher Education Institute (ISMT) formally signed a collaboration agreement with Burguezia do Leitão, a leading project promoting Bairrada gastronomy and hospitality, based in Mealhada.

The ceremony was attended by a delegation from ISMT, consisting of the President of the Board of Directors, Manuel Castelo Branco; the Vice President, Humberto Oliveira; and the Secretary of the Board of Directors, Isa Magalhães. The delegation was welcomed by Mariana Pedro Leonardo, CEO of Burguezia do Leitão, accompanied by partner and co-founder Ricardo Vasconcelos, Carlos Franco, Marketing Director, and executive chef Duarte Nuno Godinho.

The partnership aims to develop joint activities in the areas of training, internships, institutional events, and the promotion of best practices in management, tourism, and hospitality, reinforcing ISMT's commitment to the integration of academic knowledge and excellent business practices.
