ISMT takes part in the presentation of the 3rd edition of the Business Summit by Coimbra iTEC

The Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) took part in the presentation of the 3rd edition of the Business Summit by Coimbra iTEC, which will take place on 6 November, at the Coimbra Business School Auditorium.

Organised by Coimbra iTEC – Association for Innovation and Technology of the Coimbra Region, this event is a forum for dialogue and knowledge sharing between academia, business, and public institutions, bringing together business leaders, experts, and representatives from higher education.

Under the theme “ESG and Corporate Sustainability”, the Business Summit 2025 will explore sustainability as a strategic driver for Portuguese companies, with sessions covering:

✅ Tools for Corporate Sustainability Strategy
✅ Integrating ESG Criteria into Business Models
✅ Corporate Sustainability Reporting (CSDDD and CSRD)
✅ Sustainability as a Strategic Opportunity for Companies
✅ Networking

Coimbra iTEC is a non-profit private association, established on 29 June 2022, with the mission of connecting academia and the community, promoting applied research, knowledge sharing, training, and specialised consultancy.

Its founding members include the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (IPC), the Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT), the Business Council of the Coimbra Region (CERC), and several regional companies.

The presentation session featured Georgina Morais (IPC) – President of Coimbra iTEC’s Board, Humberto Oliveira (ISMT) – Vice-President of the Board, and Carlos Alves (CERC) – Vice-President of the Board.

A second presentation, focused on the partnership between CERC, IPC, and ISMT within Coimbra iTEC, included Hugo Serra (President of CERC), Cândida Malça (President of IPC), and Humberto Oliveira (Vice-President of ISMT), highlighting the importance of cooperation between higher education and the regional business ecosystem.
