On 10 January, Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) will host the Artificial Intelligence Finance Institute (AIFI) Bootcamp, an event organised by lecturer Maria Nascimento Cunha, with the collaboration of the 3rd year of the Business Communication course.

The Bootcamp will be attended by Miquel Alonso, an international reference in the application of Artificial Intelligence to the financial sector, with a vast academic and professional career.

About the speaker
Miquel Noguer i Alonso has over 30 years' experience in the financial and academic sectors. He is the founder of the Artificial Intelligence Finance Institute and Director of Development at Global AI. He also stands out for his work as Executive Director at UBS AG and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Andbank, as well as having been a member of UBS's European Investment Committee for 10 years.
In the academic field, he teaches Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Fintech at prestigious international institutions such as the NYU Courant Institute, Columbia University, ESADE and NYU Tandon. He pioneered the first Fintech and Big Data course at London Business School in 2017 and is the author of ten scientific articles on Artificial Intelligence.
His main research interests include asset allocation, machine learning, algorithmic trading and Fintech.
