The Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT), in collaboration with the Instituto Superior de Entre Douro e Vouga (ISVOUGA), is organising a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) under the theme "Urban Identity, Image, and Attractiveness: Enhancing City Competitiveness and Appeal."
This initiative is part of the Erasmus+ Consortium Right to the City, which brings together, in addition to ISMT and ISVOUGA, the Universidade Lusófona, Iscte, and Domus Social.
The programme will take place between 14 and 18 July 2025, in two locations: Coimbra (14–16 July) and Santa Maria da Feira (16–18 July). Around 25 students from European partner universities will participate in this intensive programme, which will include lectures, debates, and both indoor and outdoor activities.
The BIP aims to foster critical reflection and discussion on how cities build their identity and image to enhance their competitiveness and appeal to residents, tourists, and investors. The programme will also address the challenges of sustainability and social inclusion, with the involvement of renowned experts and professionals from the field.
This initiative reinforces ISMT’s commitment to internationalisation, inter-institutional cooperation, and the promotion of innovative educational projects within the Erasmus+ programme.
