On January 6, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., the Miguel Torga Higher Institute (ISMT) will host an open class entitled “Rights of workers in situations of illness”. The event will take place in Room 1 of Pole C, located at Rua Bernardo de Albuquerque, nº 6, in Coimbra, as part of the Ethics and Social Responsibility of Organizations course, which is part of the Human Resources Management and Management courses.

About the Guest Speaker
The class will feature Carla Barbosa, a renowned lawyer and specialist in health law. A researcher at the Center for Biomedical Law and the Legal Institute of the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, Carla Barbosa has extensive experience in analyzing legal issues related to health and work. During the session, she will explore the employment rights of workers who are ill, with an emphasis on the legal and organizational implications.
