ISMT participates in the 1st International Scientific Conference on Social Work organized by the Federal University of Tocantins.

The Instituto Superior Miguel Torga is taking part in the 1st International Scientific Conference on Social Work at the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), held as part of the 18th anniversary celebrations of the Study and Research Group on Training and Professional Practice in Social Work (GEPESSFEP). The initiative aims to strengthen scientific output, professional training, and international cooperation in the field of Social Work.

ISMT lecturer Carla Carvalho, from the Social Work scientific area, is taking part in this international scientific event. The initiative stems from a partnership between the Federal University of Tocantins in Brazil and the Instituto Superior Miguel Torga in Portugal, consolidating scientific cooperation and expanding dialogue between different professional and academic contexts.

The conference program focuses on the theme "Amazon, capital and resistance: social and cultural diversity, environmental issues and public social policies".
