Today, December 20, 2024, Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) held a meeting of the Scientific Council, with the election of Professor Joana Sequeira as Vice-President of this body.

Today, December 20, 2024, Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) held a meeting of the Scientific Council, with the election of Professor Joana Sequeira as Vice-President of this body.

Under the terms of the ISMT Statutes, the Scientific Council is chaired by the President of the Board of Directors, however, in accordance with the statutory rules and by decision of the Statutory President of the Scientific Council, Joana Sequeira, now elected Vice-President, was delegated the power to effectively chair the meetings of the Scientific Council, in practice assuming the role of President of this body.

Joana Sequeira's election reflects the recognition of her competence, experience and dedication to ISMT's academic community, and is an important step towards strengthening the Council's strategic and scientific role in the development of the institution.

This moment marks another step forward in the democratic functioning of the Miguel Torga Higher Institute, underlining the institution's commitment to academic excellence, innovation and collaborative management.
