With a degree in Social Work from ISMT in 2015, Ana Balula is a Social Worker and Victim Support Technician, specialising in Gender Equality. She has been working at NAV - the Viseu District Centre for Victims of Domestic Violence since 2014, initially as a trainee and since 2015 as a Social Worker.
NAV is part of the National Support Network for Victims of Domestic Violence (RNAVVD) and provides social, legal and psychological support, confidentially and free of charge. The centre also includes CAEV - the Viseu Emergency Reception Centre and CAD - the Differentiated Reception Centre for Victims of Domestic Violence with Mental Illness.
The session is part of the Social Work training programme promoted by the ISMT, contributing to an in-depth reflection on support responses for victims of domestic violence.
