The article "Portuguese Investor’s Perception of Investing in Companies with ESG Practices" has just been published in the Journal of Social and Environmental Management (RGSA), reflecting the research work of professors Henrique Amaral Dias, Fátima Matos and Júlio Baptista, together with former student Ivo Alves, who developed this study during his academic internship at ISMT.

- The study reveals surprising insights into the impact of ESG practices on the behavior of Portuguese investors:
- Familiarity with ESG strongly influences investment decisions;
- Age and geographic location have little impact;
- Interestingly, a higher level of education may decrease the relevance of ESG criteria in financial decisions.

This is an inspiring example of the potential of academic research at ISMT. Seeing a student transform their internship work into a leading scientific publication is a source of pride for our institution.
