ISMT hosts lecture on music composition for film, games, and advertising
The Miguel Torga Higher Institute will host, on 14 April 2026, at 14:00, a lecture entitled "Composing for Multimedia: Cinema, Games, and Advertising". The event will take place at the TV Studio (Rua Bernardo de Albuquerque, 6) as part of the Seminars curricular unit, coordinated by lecturer Flávio Pires.
The session will feature Pedro Marques, a composer with an established career in both national and international markets. With specialised training from UCLA and a Sophia Award from the Portuguese Academy of Cinema, the guest will share his experience in large-scale projects ranging from advertising for global brands to scoring feature films and video games.
This initiative aims to bring students closer to the professional realities of the creative industry, exploring the technical and artistic specificities of sound design and original composition. The lecture reinforces the Multimedia department's commitment to knowledge updating and direct contact with industry experts.
