Inauguration of the new ISMT Pedagogical Council for the 2024/2026 and 2024/2025 mandates
Today, 29 November, the Instituto Superior Miguel Torga (ISMT) hosted the swearing-in ceremony for the new members of the Pedagogical Council, who will represent the teaching staff during the 2024/2026 biennium and the students during the 2024/2025 academic year.The formal session was chaired by Professor Manuel Castelo Branco, accompanied by Dulce Simões, Humberto Oliveira and Miguel Fonseca, members of the ISMT Board of Directors. The chairman of the Board of Directors addressed those present and, in a motivational speech to the inductees, emphasised the importance of the Pedagogical Council as one of the pillars in promoting pedagogical quality and strengthening the bond between teachers and students.
Professor Ilda Massano Cardoso, who leads the new Pedagogical Council, thanked the Board and her peers for their trust. In her speech, she reinforced her commitment to the values of innovation, excellence and dialogue, fundamental elements for this new stage of ISMT.
