Learning Outcomes
Promote the construction of conceptual frameworks in the field of community psychological intervention, analyzing and questioning intervention strategies in personal and contextual systems.To know the historical and conceptual framework of community psychology definition, paradigms, guiding constructs and perspectives.
Ability to distinguish and integrate community evaluation, prevention and intervention processes.
Master several theoretical and practical concepts essential for understanding and intervention in community psychology, such as ecological perspective, systemic perspective, psycho-political vision, leadership, sense of community, active participation, citizenship, diversity and equal opportunities, risk-vulnerability, change, empowerment, resilience, prevention and remediation, preventive actions and promotion of competencies, social support networks.
Develop skills to promote interprofessional collaboration, in order to develop integrated services actions and transdisciplinary collaborations between academic knowledge and services.
Master the procedures of action-research and master the methods of Community research.
Specifically, it aims to promote in students: The conception of community intervention as a professional exercise of Psychology involving a diversity of objectives, targets and strategies; Mastery of processes for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of community projects; Ability to characterize and analyze intervention strategies in personal and contextual systems, considering their objectives, change processes and differential efficacy; Ability to perspective the usefulness and applicability of these strategies in the face of a diversity of problems, populations and intervention contexts typical of the professional practice of Psychology;
To be able to become a professional in a community intervention team.
Critical reading, presentation and discussion skills of community intervention projects.
Self-oriented learning capacity; Ability to communicate (oral and written); Ability to reflect and decision.
