Learning Outcomes

Students are supposed to obtain solid theoretical knowledge concerning the existing image stimuli. In order to achieve this, students will obtain critical and solid knowledge concerning the:
A.    Semiological and iconographic categorization that is present in the existing visual and discursive genres;
B.    Theoretical origin of the practice of semiotics and semiology - which allow the identification of the main regimes of image apprehension;
C.    Differentiation of components and semiological categories of static and dynamic imagery;
D.    Reality that is inherent to the main stimuli of image significance present in photography, cinema, TV and the consequent progression to the digital ecology.
