Learning Outcomes

Enable the students with the concepts, the fundamental results and the techniques of Differential and Integral Calculus necessary to develop basic skills in the area of training. 
Develop the ability of reasoning and critical spirit, encouraging the use of the concepts and techniques studied in the resolution of problems in management.

Study Program

1.    Differentiation in IR and IRn: Review of concepts, differentiation rules and applications.
2.    Optimization in IR: Minimum and maximum values of a function; Optimization problems.
3.    Optimization in IRn: Gradient of a function; Minimum and maximum values of a function; Optimization problems; Constrained Optimization; Lagrange Multipliers.
4.    Exponential and logarithmic growth; Economics and Management applications.
5.    Integral Calculus in IR: Marginal functions in economics and management; Indefinite Integration; Techniques of Integration; First Order Differential Equation; Riemann Integral; Calculation of the mean value of a function and areas between curves; Economics and Management applications.
