Learning Outcomes

The main goals of this curricular unit are:

- To introduce topics that are beyond the elementary curriculum in computer science (but envisioned in the ACM/IEEE international curricula), or that, given their specificity, cannot be a curricular unit per se, but could be discussed in greater detail during the student’s project/internship, in the following semester.

- Encourage students to follow research oriented careers (master’sdegree or PhD)

- Encourage students to engage in research activities, related to the specialization area of ISMT faculty members.

In the academic year of 2017/18, the following topics, among others, will be held within the seminars:

  • Emergent Technologies
  • New Generation Networks and IoT
  • Smart Cities
  • Industry 4.0
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Ubiquitous Computation
  • Cibersecurity
  • Robotics
  • Computer Vision
  • Blockchain
