Description
The Degree in Informatics has the mission of offering advanced education in the field of Informatics, aimed at acquiring skills in the area of programming and the design and management of information systems, including the specification, development, testing and maintenance phases of applications and computer systems. In order to achieve the proposed goals, the following generic objectives are established:
Adopt a teaching model based on skills development;
Privileging the formation of students in knowledge of basic areas of computer science, as well as key technological areas, currently considered essential for the competitiveness of companies;
Ensure the permanent updating of the contents taught, investing heavily in emerging concepts, models and technologies;
Promote the participation of students in cooperation protocols with public and private organizations, national and international, allowing the student's contact with the world of work at an early stage of its training;
Foster research and development (R&D) units and technology transfer business areas that allow for an increase in the pedagogical and scientific performance of the degree program and allow for the continuity of training for graduates of the course who wish to proceed to the 2nd cycle of studies.
