Learning Outcomes
The Curricular Unit (CU) Quality Management has as its main objectives to provide students with the knowledge required to understand the importance of Quality Management for business success. In particular, the Curricular Unit aims to highlight the role of Total Quality Management methodologies, as well as Quality Excellence models (EFQM). Accordingly, it is essential to equip students with knowledge that allows them to identify Quality Management as a key tool for business competitiveness and value creation. From a theoretical perspective, the Curricular Unit seeks to provide students with knowledge to recognize Quality Management Standards (e.g., ISO 9001:2015), as well as the role of Audits. From a quantitative perspective, the Quality Management Curricular Unit aims to provide students with basic knowledge and tools of statistical control for Quality monitoring and measurement. Specifically, the course intends to develop competencies in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
